The St Benedict Center will form leaders, both lay and ordained, in the practice of spiritual direction according to the orthodox, sacramental tradition of the Church. Our training program, The Conversatio Course, is a two-year commitment. The program is especially arranged to equip Anglican spiritual directors, though we gladly welcome applicants from all orthodox Christian traditions.

The St Benedict Center hosts The Lectio Series, a semiannual symposium on spiritual theology featuring pastors, writers, and scholars who think deeply about spiritual disciplines and the inner life. The Lectio Series hosts events each spring and fall.

The St Benedict Center blog, Oratio, will publish articles that focus on the spiritual life in Christian experience. We aim for posts on the Oratio blog to be meditative, thoughtful, and practical. We will review books and topics related to spiritual formation from a biblical, orthodox perspective. We’ll also offer articles and publish videos that give practical help on spiritual disciplines.
